TruBank to Begin Using Interactive Teller Machines April 2024!

TruBank will be bringing a new way to bank this Spring - interactive video teller technology!

Four drive-up Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs) will offer a new, friendly and efficient customer experience. These will be available at the following branches:

  • April 15th - Indianola Main Office at 1401 N. Jefferson Way, Indianola
  • April 22nd - Indianola West Roads Branch at 1901 West 2nd Ave, Indianola
  • April 29th - Norwalk Branch at 2351 Sunset Drive, Norwalk
  • May 6th - Fort Des Moines Branch at 612 Army Post Road, Des Moines

ITMs use ATM-based technology that allows people to talk to a live remote teller, while giving the teller control over the machine to conduct transactions. TruBank will offer video teller services during normal branch hours (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) and on Saturdays beginning April 27th from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

TruBank’s ITMs use the advanced capabilities to conduct many of the same transactions as you would need when interacting with a teller across a desk. These include deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, account transfers, and more!

Other great benefits include:

  • No transaction slips required (deposit tickets, savings withdrawals, etc.).
  • Check images on receipts.
  • Ability to get different monetary denominations (select the options of $1's, $5's, $20's, or $50's).
  • Cash a check for the exact amount OR tell us to deposit the change into your account.
  • You don't need to have your debit card at the ITM when interacting with our video tellers.

You might be thinking, “That’s all well and good, but what about the privacy of my banking interaction?” It’s a good question to ask, and TruBank is committed to ensuring the privacy of our customers’ interactions however they may take place.

When it comes to ITMs, we provide you with different options to protect your privacy:

  • You can adjust the volume of the machine to a preferred level.
  • You can alternatively use a handset to communicate with the teller.
  • You can opt to use the chat feature; a keyboard is available on the screen so you can type out messages privately.
